Press conference, at which the new head coach of the “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Robert Prosinečki, will be presented, will be held at the “Atrium” of the Europa Hotel in Sarajevo tomorrow (06.01.2018) at 15:00 h.
At the yesterday's session of the Executive Board of Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prosinečki won the unanimous support of the members of this body and will lead our national team in the UEFA Nations League and qualifications for the UEFA European Championship 2020.
Prosinečki was born on 12th January 1969 in the German city of Schewenningen. In his coaching career he led the multiple champions of Yugoslavia and Serbia, Red Star, then the Turkish Kayserispor, and the national team of Azerbaijan. With Red Star he won the Cup of Serbia in 2012.
As a player, among other things, he played for Dinamo Zagreb, Red Star, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla. In addition to the national championships and Cup competitions in the countries in which he played, Prosinečki, as a U-20 Yugoslav national, came to the title of world champion in 1987, while with Red Star he was the winner of the Cup of European Champions in 1991.
