After a victory against Andorra of 2:1 and qualifying for the elite qualification round, the head coach of the U-19 team, Toni Karačić, stated:

“I congratulate the boys on going to the elite round, because that was our goal. We knew that there would be a demanding game against the team that defended with ten players in its half. It was not easy to break it, and the field also made things difficult for us. We mostly controlled the game, but we still have to work and prepare this selection for new challenges.”

The goalkeeper Elvin Kovač was satisfied after winning: “I am happy because I debuted for the U-19 team in the qualifications and that we beat Andorra. We had to take three points in this match and I'm glad we did it. Congratulations to the teammates on excellent games during the tournament.”
