One of the players who got coach Sakib Malkocevic's call to play for BiH national cadet football team at the European Championship was Genk's player Elvis Mehanovic. This attacker had three caps in the Elite Round of qualifying, and even managed to score a goal in the victory against the Czech Republic.
Mehanovic: "We dreamed that we would meet at a major competition and that dream came true. We can't wait for the championship to start. Our work in Zenica was great and we're going to Croatia ready. I think we're in good shape and that we can achieve a good result.
It's going to be difficult against Germany for sure, but we won't surrender. We'll do our best to come out of the game with a positive result. We also can't ignore other opponents because any team that can qualify for the European Championship has a quality. With a serious approach we can aim for the quarter-finals."
When asked in which club he would love to play, Elvis says: "In Feyenoord. That club has great fans and it's always a great atmosphere when they play."
