Bosnia and Herzegovina cadet football team is undergoing preparations at the FFBIH training center in Zenica for the upcoming European Championship Elite Qualifying Round in Tbilisi. Only Benjamin Hadzic from Bayern Munich couldn't come, however Nedim Hadzic from Sarajevo got the invitation instead.
Attacker Edis Smajic missed today's training due to ankle injury, but he expects the team to be ready for the tournament: "I hope we'll all be healthy and ready for the matches that await us. We're physically prepared and all we have to do is practice here at the training center. I missed training session this morning because of minor pain in my ankle, but I'm sure it will all be ok. The atmosphere in the team is excellent. We'll try our best to become the first generation of cadets who managed to qualify for major football event. Opponents are good and we must not underestimate them, because all teams that reach the Elite Round certainly possess the quality. Our efforts will prove our skills, and when we do our best we can beat anyone out there."
Player Milan Miric from Partizan Belgrade: "I expect us to qualify for the European Championship and we'll do our best to achieve that goal. We're ready, and we work in a great atmosphere. Also we've shown how much we've improved during friendly games with Montenegro, we have much to look for at the tournament in Georgia
BIH opponents in the group 3 will be Georgia, Italy and Russia.
