A long-time attacker of the “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vedad Ibišević, confirmed today that he would say farewell to football jersey with the national coat of arms.
The popular Vedo played 82 matches for our best team and scored 28 goals.
His absence in the national team will be difficult to compensate, and we will always remember his masters on the field and the goals that cherished the nation.
An unforgettable moment in the representative career of Ibišević is when he scored a goal against Lithuania in Kaunas for the victory of the BH national team for 1:0, and the historic qualification to the FIFA World Cup.
And also at the Mundial, Vedo entered the history and in the match against Argentina, he scored the first goal for our national team in one big competition.
Vedad Ibišević is certainly an example of what kind of approach a professional should have when representing his country. It's a player who never saved himself and who always gave the best of himself.
Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina thanks Ibišević on everything he did for the BH national team and wants him a lot of luck in continuing of his career!
