After today’s victory of the BH women’s U-17 players against their peers from Romania and qualifications to the elite qualifying round, the head coach Ilija Lucić stated:
“We are pleased and I congratulate the players. We showed that the last year’s success was not accidental. We expected three heavy games, but we were self-confident. Our goal was the second place and we deserved this position. Today, the girls have done tactically everything right. They respected everything we agreed on and the result could not be left out.”
The captain Ajla Zukić addressed the media:
“It was difficult, but we believed in ourselves and we knew we could make a good result. I’m glad we won because we made a lot of effort. I hope that we will continue with good games in the elite round too.”
The BH team beat Romania today with 1:0 with a goal scored by Sofija Krajšumović; and together with the Republic of Ireland it succeeded to qualify to the elite round of qualifications for the European Women’s U-17 Championship 2018.
