Bosnia and Herzegovina Women's Premier League champion, SFK 2000 Sarajevo, will host the UEFA Champions League qualifying tournament from August 23-28 in Sarajevo. Besides our representative, Ramat Hasharon from Israel, Kharkiv from Ukraine, and Rigas Futbola skola from Latvia will participate in this tournament.
Coach Samira Hurem: "SFK 2000 wants to qualify for the Champions League 1/16th finals this year, and we can achieve the desired results only if players are healthy. Our group is tough, the opponents are hard, but after everything that's going on in women's football, and with FFBIH's support, we can expect a good result at this tournament."
Team member Azra Numanovic: "We've been preparing for more than a month now. We approach each match seriously, regardless of the advantage we have, because we know that challenges await us in the Champions League. The team has been together for a long time, there weren't many changes in the team which is also an advantage. The most important of all is players' physical and mental health, and then we can look forward to a favorable result."
SFK 2000's first match is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 23rd against Ramat Hasharon at the stadium Otoka in Sarajevo, followed by games with Rigas and Kharkiv on Aug. 25th and 28th respectively, both at 17:00 hours.
