After today's draw for the elite round for the European Women’s U-17 Championship, the head coach of the BH women's U-17 team, Ilija Lucić, stated:

“In our group, Austria and Poland are better ranked, and we are ahead of Turkey, so our goal is to qualify for the European Women’s U-17 Championship. If our U-17 team have already qualified for two European U-17 Championships so far, trying to get to the third, they are our role model. We have the desire, the heart, the knowledge, and by work and sweat we will be able to qualify for the EURO U-17, and, if God will, we are in Lithuania in May.”

The qualification tournament will be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina in March 2018.
