Bosnia and Herzegovina women's under-19 football team won the third Euro qualifying match against Faroe Islands 1-0 today in Bijeljina.
Coach Nikola Nikic: "We failed to qualify this time, but I'm happy with my players' performance. We lacked physical condition which was most apparent during the match with Czech Republic. I'm glad that important people from FFBIH came to see and support us - president Elvedin Begic, general secretary Jasmin Bakovic, head of competitions department Elmir Pilav, and many more. Faroe Islands wasn't naive, they have several good players, but our girls played well and rigtfully won. I'd like to thank FFBIH and our hosts in village Stanisici where we had exceptional working conditions.
In the other qualifying match, France beat Czech Republic 6-0. France won the tournament with 9 points, followed by Czech Republic (6) at the second place, Bosnia and Herzegovina (3) and finally Faroe Islands (0).
