The head coach of the youth Tuzla team, Sakib Malkočević, says on the results of the team:
“Regarding the youth football, Sloboda is at the top of the table every year, so we can be pleased with our placement this season. Sarajevo, Željezničar, Zrinjski and Sloboda have been achieving the best results in the youth U-19 league for years. In addition to the results, our great success is that we have seven juniors who compete for the senior team, and some are also the standard players of the first U-19 team. It would be good to get to the title, because the results that Željezničar made in the UEFA Youth League this year, surely inspired other teams and it would be good for us in Sloboda, if we could do something similar.”
Malkočević also commented preparations:
“Several players also worked with the first team. We did not go to warmer areas, where the pitches are better at this time of the year, but we have completed the preparations in Tuzla on the training pitch of the Tušanj Stadium. We also played some control games and I hope that we will be ready for the continuation of the competition.”
This expert expects even better games of the U-19 team of Sloboda in the continuation of the season:
“At this moment, Sarajevo and Željezničar have better teams in comparison to us, which shows the current situation in the table. However, in this competition, every match is interesting and everyone can win. Also, I must point out that the refereeing is very good. Regarding Sloboda, I expect even better matches in the spring. Sarajevo and Željezničar are in advantage, but if we get a chance for better placement, we will use it.”
In the first round of the spring part of the championship, Sloboda will be faced with a difficult away match against Sarajevo.
“Our opponent in the first round is currently the first team in the table. We have nothing to lose in Sarajevo. If we are with the strongest squad, we can play a good game and get a positive result”, said Sakib Malkočević.
Saša Maksimović is the first scorer of the team with 13 goals, followed by Dino Hodžić with 6. Amer Kasumović scored 3, Kenin Devedžić, Eldin Omerović and Adin Omić 2, and Alen Kurtalić, Amar Beganović, Ajdin Čičkušić, Armin Hodžić, Admir Kapidžić and Amar Nišić scored 1 goal.
