A difficult match with a strong opponent awaits us

A press conference of the “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held today at the Grbavica Stadium in Sarajevo ahead of the UEFA Nations League match with Italy.

The assistant coach in the national team, Adnan Čustović, and the player, Rade Krunić, answered the journalists’ questions.

When asked about the line-up for tomorrow’s match, Čustović said:

“We have 21 players and two goalkeepers at our disposal. We did the tests this morning and we expect a good result tonight. We will see after today’s training session, who is the most ready for tomorrow’s match. We have some ideas about the line-up, but after the training session, everything will be clearer.”

Adnan Čustović says about the opponent:

“They always play to win and they haven’t lost a match for a long time. We know that a difficult match awaits us. The Dutch and Poles have not found a way to neutralize them, so it will be difficult for us. They also had a lot of dismissals due to the coronavirus and have problems with the squad. However, some of the new players who played for them were also very good. They are very good tactically, and they also have quality individuals, so we have a difficult task ahead of us.”

Rade Krunić commented on the games of the BH team in the Nations League:

“We know what we need to do on the pitch, we get clear instructions and it is up to us to realise that. There have been no results in the last matches, but we are doing our best. Maybe it doesn’t look like that to someone. Of course we can do better and stronger, but at this moment we are giving our best and it will be the same tomorrow. If we had beaten Northern Ireland in the play-offs, it would have been a different story today.”

The journalists were interested in whether he was in communication with his teammates from Milan in connection with tomorrow’s match, to which Krunić replied:

“I have not contacted my colleagues from the club. I know their national team players very well, especially the club teammates. They certainly want to win, because they want to be first in the group and to qualify for the finals of the Nations League.”

After the press conference, the official training of the BH team began.
