When asked by journalists to summarize the national team’s games in the past three months, Bajević answered:
“It should be analysed even more. The biggest disappointment for us is that we did not beat Northern Ireland. That was pressing us for a long time and didn’t let us move forward as much as we could. In some matches we played well, despite a lot of difficulties. There was nothing we could do today. We train for two days and lose two players. You never know who will be missing. I would like to thank the players for their attitude and behaviour. I would also like to thank the associates who did their job well.”
The head coach pointed out that he was sorry for the injury of Siniša Saničanin:
“I am sorry that I did not replace the injured Saničanin. He played really well, he always does his best and I’m really sorry for him.”
