A tough match as expected, congratulations to the players

After this evening’s draw with Austria at the Ernst-Happel Stadium in Vienna, a press conference was held.

The head coach Robert Prosinečki is pleased with the qualification into the UNL League A:

“There were a lot of our fans that was great, they made a phenomenal ambience. We played the first half extraordinary, dominated and created chances. As we expected, the match was very difficult. At the beginning of the second half, they made two chances and made pressure, and at that moment we could not get to our game. Congratulations to the guys, because we achieved the goal in the Nations League and finished first in the group with just one goal received. The guys did their best once again.”

When asked if the BH team can qualify to the EURO, Prosinečki replied:

“In December, we expect a draw for qualification groups. I believe these guys have quality and gained confidence in these 9 matches that we did not lose. They fight and become one real team. There is quality here and I believe we can go to the European Championship. Our great success is that we qualified to the League A, where we expect strong teams, which is a great success both for me and assistant coaches, players, but also for Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

Bosnia and Herzegovina finished first in group 3 of the League B with 10 points. Austria has 4 and Northern Ireland 0 points.
