Defender Anel Ahmedhodžić does not hide his satisfaction that he is part of our best national team:

“I am very happy to be at another national team’s gathering. We have a short period to prepare for the match, but we are doing our utmost to be as ready as possible. We want to play a quality match and try to reach a favourable result against a strong opponent.”

Ahmedhodžić says about the next opponent:

“We played very well against France in March and it is certain that we deserved to win at least one point. Unfortunately, we were unlucky and they scored from practically the only opportunity they created. However, we showed that we could deal with great teams. It will also be very difficult tomorrow. They have fast strikers and have top players in every position. We don’t need to spend a lot of words on the national team of France, we have to set-up ourselves as well as possible and try to make a positive result.”

Our national team player also commented on the following opponents:

“I don’t have a lot of information about Kuwait, but Kazakhstan is a team that we must not underestimate. We have to do the job in the best way, be maximally focused and only in that case can we achieve the result we want, and that is victory.”

Anel Ahmedhodžić and Malmö qualified for the UEFA Champions League, group stage beating Riga, HJK, Glasgow Rangers and Ludogorets in the qualifications:

“We have made a huge success and I cannot describe in words how much it means to me. I have been a member of the club since I was a child, and the qualification for the Champions League with Malmö is a dream come true for me. We played against strong teams, but we were great. One of the tougher matches was the away match in Glasgow against Rangers, where we were left early with ten players on the field and they were leading 1:0. We managed to reverse the result and show what kind of team we were. Really great success for all of us and I’m looking forward to the matches in the Champions League.”
