This will be the sixth match of these national teams. Twice our team was defeated in the qualifications for the 1998 World Cup, when Denmark celebrated with 2:0 in Copenhagen and then also in Sarajevo with 3:0.

In the qualifications for 2004 EURO, the BH team won in Copenhagen with 2:0, with goals scored by Barbarez and Baljić, while the match in Sarajevo ended in a draw 1:1. The scorers were Bolić and Jorgensen for the visiting team.

The last match of these national teams was played at the Kirin Cup in Japan in 2016, in which the BH national team won 6:5 after taking penalties. The result after 90 minutes of the match was 2:2, and both goals for Bosnia and Herzegovina were scored by Đurić, while Kjaer and Fischer scored for Denmark.

Head coach Ivalyo Petev thinks that it is good to use these matches to analyse and correct some shortcomings that are shown in the March matches, but also to check new players.

“We will use every available match-date for friendly matches. It’s a great opportunity to give a chance to some players who have the potential to play for the national team, and so far, we haven’t seen them or they haven’t had a chance to show what they know. The national team is not a club and we have to see how they will manage there, accept our vision and the demands we make”, said Petev.
