Before training, a press conference was held, with head coach Sergej Barbarez and national team player Amar Memić addressing the media.

Barbarez: "Every friendly brings something, and we take it seriously, as if it were a qualifier. It gives us new situations we want to test. There will definitely be several new players, and I think all associations approach it that way. I hope for a lively match, where everyone’s up for a good contest."

Memić: "We’re going for the win tomorrow. We’ve prepared and we’ll give our best. We saw where we made mistakes in the last game, and we know what we have to correct. We’ve got a good group of players with character. Everyone’s here for each other and it was easy for me to fit in."
