A press conference was held today at the FFBiH headquarters in Sarajevo, where the BiH national “A” football team head coach, Sergej Barbarez, announced the names of the players he’s counting on for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Germany and Hungary. Alongside the coach, sporting director Emir Spahić also addressed the media.
The list of players can be found HERE.
Barbarez spoke about the players' readiness: "We're happy with the current form of our players. The only one who won't be playing is Tahirović. Tabaković has changed clubs and systems. Šarić isn’t a regular at the moment, but that’s related to his transfer. The rest of the players are regular starters, and I’m sure that they’ll be even more prepared for the October and November rounds."
Spahić, among other things, said: "The coach mentioned that we’re still finding ourselves. We haven’t yet finalized the team as we’d like. Will there be new players? You see, we’re constantly searching for new ones. We’re trying to bring them back home because they belong here. We’re not stealing; we’re just bringing our children back home and we’ll continue doing that. As long as I’m here, I guarantee I’ll try to bring every child back home."
The national team will gather on October 7 in Ilidža.
