The UEFA Conference was held earlier this week in Berlin, attended by the coaches and directors of European national football teams, where the analysis of the recent European Championship was discussed.
Bosnia and Herzegovina's national "A" team coach, Sergej Barbarez, shared his impressions from the conference: "It was a truly valuable summit for all participants. Big names from world football gave very high-quality presentations. There's always something interesting and important to hear from people like Fabio Capello, Rafael Benítez, David Moyes, Michael O’Neill, Frank de Boer, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Packie Bonner, and others. Through important data and technical analysis of the European Championship, we coaches received information crucial for our approaches to working with players. Additionally, I had the opportunity to meet with colleagues from other national teams, including those we're in a group with in the UEFA Nations League. We discussed a lot, exchanged opinions, and overall it was a very concrete and beneficial event."
The UEFA conference analyzed tactical trends from Euro 2024, especially in areas like attacking preparation, goalkeeper performance, pressing, and creativity in the final third, as well as other issues related to the tournament held this summer in Germany.
