A press conference was held today at the FFBiH headquarters in Sarajevo ahead of the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior national team’s gathering for the matches against Cyprus and Malta.
Head coach Sergej Barbarez addressed the media and spoke about the upcoming World Cup qualifier with Cyprus: "This match will definitely be different from the first one we played against them. They’ve improved and they’ve got that comeback mentality. In some ways, they’re similar to us in terms of mindset: there’s a lot that comes from positive defiance, so it won’t be easy. I’ve said from the start that October would be the most important month for us. Either we’ll secure a second place or we’ll go all in needing to fight for everything. The Romania vs. Austria match will also show us the direction of our mindset going into November, and I believe we deserve a strong position."
