BH national team unsuccessful against Italy

In the match of the 6th round of Group 1 of the UEFA A Nations League, played tonight at the “Grbavica”, the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated by Italy with 0:2.

Italy came to the advantage in the 22nd minute. Andrea Belotti sent the ball behind Kenan Pirić after the centre kick of Lorenzo Insigne. The guests had more attempts, but Insigne and Bellotti were not precise from favourable positions on two occasions.

The BH team had a good opportunity in the 37th minute, when Smail Prevljak received the ball in the five-meter area, but his shot was defended by Gianluigi Donnarumma. A minute later, after a corner kick of Miralem Pjanić, Siniša Saničanin sent the ball next to the goal with his head. By the end of the first half, the Dragons threatened once again in the 44th minute, when Amer Gojak missed a goal from 7 meters after the pass of Josip Ćorluka.

The second half started with Benjamin Tatar’s attempt in the 47th minute from a distance, but the ball went over the goal.

After that, there weren’t many chances until the 68th minute, when the guests scored the second goal. Manuel Locatelli greatly sent the ball to the five-meter area, where Domenico Berardi managed best for 0:2. Federico Bernardeschi hit the crossbar in the 88th minute from fifteen meters and it was the last chance in the match.
