Coach and Players Reflect on the Match Against Germany

Head coach Sergej Barbarez commented on the defeat to Germany: "It's a loss we have to swallow and something we need to think about deeply. It's undoubtedly tough. My main responsibility is to take care of these guys, to fall back in love with football and play again on Tuesday. This is something that happened and something we all face at some point in our careers. A sleepless night is surely ahead of us, but life goes on. We can talk about tactics and preparation, but without a dose of courage... It was clear from the start that we had a great deal of respect for them, conceding a goal in the second minute and again at the start of the second half. That kind of thing completely derails any plan. Talking too much isn't our goal - we’ll let the guys reflect on this themselves. We're not here by chance. Some matches cost us progress and confidence, but that's part of life and football. We have to move forward."

Luka Kulenović, who made his first appearance for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national "A" team tonight and made the starting lineup against Germany, shared his thoughts: "My debut was nowhere near what I dreamed of. Sure, the Germans are good, but we need to look at the mistakes we made and how we conceded seven goals. Now we turn our focus to the Netherlands and aim for the best result possible."
