The venue for today’s training has changed: instead of Grbavica, the team trained at Asim Ferhatović-Hase stadium. As part of the usual media activities, debutants Kerim Alajbegović and Eman Košpo spoke to the reporters.
Alajbegović, born September 21, 2007 in Cologne (Germany), currently plays for RB Salzburg. He’s come through every BiH national team, from U-15 to U-21, and at just 17 he’s already been called up to the "A" team.
"I’m really happy about being called to the "A" team. The guys welcomed me really well. Preparations are going great and we’re all ready for Saturday. We arrived in good form for this gathering, and I believe we’ll win. If I make my debut at 17, it’ll be a dream come true, but the most important thing is to win the game."
Košpo, born May 17, 2007 in Suhr (Switzerland), is a Fiorentina player. After switching sporting nationality, this is his first call-up for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"First of all, I’d like to thank the coach for the call-up. I’m happy to be here. Preparations are excellent and we’re focused on the San Marino match. I believe we can achieve good results."
This defender plays at the same club as captain Edin Džeko, with whom he talked about the national team: "Edin’s a great player and a great man. I’ve learned a lot from him. We talk every day and he told me plenty about the national team. I chose with my heart to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he was happy about that too. I’m enjoying every moment here, and I’m ready to defend these colors and give everything I’ve got."
