“I couldn’t wait to be together again”, says Demirović with a smile and continues, “regardless of the fact that we are always in contact, talking, calling each other, it’s still much better when we get together like this and spend more time together. I sincerely wanted to be with them and I was looking forward to these matches.”

After a friendly duel in June with Denmark, Demirović used his vacation to travel to Dubai and hang out with his family in Hamburg.

“I had a great summer, but now I am completely dedicated to work and training sessions in the club. At the moment, I haven’t played much, we had three rounds, we are doing well, and I want to play more, score goals and be the first point guard. I know that I still have a lot of work to do both in training sessions and matches in order to achieve all that. The time is ahead of me, I have self-confidence and I believe that I will succeed.”

Thinking about the next two qualifying matches, Ermedin Demirović loudly points out that they should be afraid of no one.

“We know we are playing against world champions, but also no matter how strong they are, there is no giving up nor there should be fear. Each of us who will play should give the maximum, we all have to believe that we can, and I am sure that we all want to fight and that we have a great motive. We need to be tough, no matter how the score moves, not give up until the end, try to surprise them and maybe draw a point. Our goal against Kazakhstan is to win, especially since we are playing at home and there will be supporters. For me, it will be the first time to play in Zenica, and I heard about the atmosphere there when the national team plays. I am very happy about that, with the support of the fans, I believe that we will win this match.”
