It is not remembered that the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina played one half as it was in the first 45 minutes of the match with Finland. Even four goals, result reversals and a great game of the Dragons during the entire first half, except for two mistakes that cost us dearly in the form of two goals conceded.
Already in the 2nd minute, B&H threatened for the first time through Sanjin Prcić, whose shot from 16 meters went next to the goal. The Dragons took the lead in the 5th minute, when Sauli Vaisanen pulled Edin Džeko after a corner kick, and the referee Georgi Kabakov from Bulgaria pointed to the “white dot” without hesitation. Miralem Pjanić was a reliable implementer of the most severe punishment. B&H continued to attack even after the goal was scored. In the 8th minute, Džeko headed over the goal, after a corner kick taken by Pjanić from the right side. The Finns equalized in the 10th minute. The guests broke through the left side of the defence of our national team by Benjamin Kallman, who assisted the scorer Teemu Pukki. It was the 16th minute of a play, when Lukas Hradecky defended Haris Duljević’s shot from about ten meters. A new “cold shower” for the Dragons happened in the 18th minute. Another counter of the Finns was crowned with a goal. This time in the role of assistant was Teemu Pukki, and the scorer was Benjamin Kallman. In the 23rd minute, Miralem Pjanić’s long ball was dropped by Edin Džeko for Luka Menalo, who shot next to the goal. In the 29th minute, B&H equalized. Magic in the feet of Miralem Pjanić, who gave the ball from the “first” through the defence of the Finns. Edin Džeko went out alone to the goalkeeper of Finland and scored for 2:2. The Bulgarian referee had to wait for information from the VAR whether there was an offside, but this time the “centimetres” were on the side of the Dragons.
In the 56th minute, a misunderstanding in the defence between Anel Ahmedhodžić and Hrvoje Miličević could have cost the Dragons dearly, but Teemu Pukki shot next to the goal from a good position. In the 58th minute, Edin Džeko shone again, who put B&H in the lead with a shot from outside the penalty area. In the 64th minute, the Finns had another one hundred percent chance, when Ilmari Niskanen was alone in front of Ibrahim Šehić, but he shot next to the goal. In the 72nd minute, Richard Jensen “pulled” from a distance, but Ibrahim Šehić was not surprised. In the 76th minute, Pjanić once again greatly found Džeko, who “was breaking” his guard for a long time, but Hradecky finally managed to tame his shot.
