Our team posed a serious threat for the first time in the 37' when Haris Hajradinović took a corner kick, Anel Ahmedhodžić headed the ball back from the far goalpost, but Yukhym Konoplia cleared the ball just in time in front of Dennis Hadžikadunić. Just a minute later, the Dragons missed their best chance in the first half: Edin Džeko and Sead Kolašinac failed to communicate a ball pass behind Ukraine's defense, disrupting each other, and Džeko's shot went high over the goal.
Bosnia and Herzegovina took the lead in the 57'. Amar Dedić directed the ball into the center from the right side and took a shot from the edge of the penalty area, with Dennis Hadžikadunić deflecting the ball into Ukraine's goal. In the 77', Mykhailo Mudryk took a shot from 25 meters, but Ibrahim Šehić managed to stop his shot. Five minutes later, Miralem Pjanić passed an excellent long ball to Ermedin Demirović, whose shot from a good position was saved by Andriy Lunin. In the 85', Ukraine evened the score. Yukhym Konoplia crossed a low ball from the right side, and substitute player Roman Yaremchuk sent the ball into the net from 7-8 meters. Just three minutes later, Ukraine made the turnaround. Yaremchuk crossed from the left side, and Artem Dovbyk headed in the second goal for Ukraine. In the fourth minute of stoppage time, Mudryk shot from about 20 meters from a free kick but missed the goal. Ukrainians had a counterattack in the final moments of the game, but Adnan Kovačević managed to block Mudryk's shot.
In the second semi-final match, Iceland defeated Israel 4:1 in Budapest, meaning Ukraine and Iceland will play in the playoff finals. On Tuesday, March 26th, at 8:45 PM at the Grbavica Stadium in Sarajevo, our team will play a friendly match against Israel.
