Draw with Greece

The “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina played tie with Greece 2:2 in Zenica tonight, in the qualifying match for 2020 EURO.

Although our team had a lead of 2:0, the guests managed to equalize the result.

The Dragons came to the advantage in the 10th minute. Miralem took the corner to the left and sent the ball to Edin Višća, whose first attempt was blocked, but our wing attacker hit the Greek net from the second attempt for 1:0.

Miralem Pjanić increased the result 2:0 in the 15th minute with an excellent free kick, about 30 meters far from the opponent’s goal.

In the 64th minute, Kostas Fortunis reduced the advantage of the Dragons from the penalty kick, and only a minute after, BH remained with ten players in the field, when the referee showed a red card to Pjanić.

Carlos Zeca passed on the right in the 85th minute and threw the ball into the penalty area of the BH team, and Dimitris Kolovos headed the ball behind the back of Ibrahim Šehić and equalised the result.

By the end of the match, there were no more opportunities. The chosen of Robert Prosinečki will continue qualifications in June, when they will play away in Finland and Italy.
