Džeko and Pjanić agree: We earned at least a point

The national team players of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the qualifying match for 2020 EURO versus Italy, created a lot of opportunities, but the home team won 2:1.

A goal scorer for B&H, Edin Džeko, stated after the game:

“Regardless we played against one of the world’s greatest national teams, we should not have lost. We expected to have at least three points more after these matches. There are still points in the game and we must continue to fight. I think we earned at least one point today. There is no surrender, let’s go on.”

Miralem Pjanić is similarly thinking too:

“Today we played much better than in Finland, but unfortunately, we won neither one point, and I think we deserved it. Italy is the favourite of this group and has better players than we do. However, we played well, we created chances. We could reach a point, I’m sorry we did not succeed.”

The BH national team continues with qualifying matches against Liechtenstein and Armenia in September.
