This talented player has played for Sweden's youth teams earlier, however he wanted to play solely for his homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is now part of the BiH team.
"As soon as coach Sergej Barbarez and team director Emir Spahić were appointed to their positions, they contacted me and expressed their interest for me to play here. My father and I were super happy. The Swedes also wanted me to play for them, but I told them I wanted to play only for my country, and they respected that decision. Now I'm here and delighted, and can't wait for the upcoming matches. Everything's really top-notch. I have a good impression of the coaches and my teammates. Everyone's friendly, open, and every single thing is just perfect."
Armin Gigović also looks ahead to the upcoming matches: "It'll be a big challenge for me as well as for the other young players in the team. But it doesn't matter who's on the other side; I'm ready to give my best, to leave my heart on the field. I can't wait to debut for the national team. It's somethig you live for. I'm motivated to show my skills, and I believe we'll all be at our top against England and Italy."
