Gojak: I’m very happy for the invitation

Today’s gathering of the BH “A” national team in Vienna officially begins preparations for the match of the UEFA Nations League against the selected team of Austria, on Thursday, 15th November, and three days later a friendly match with the national team of Spain.

Among the players who have already arrived is also Amer Gojak.

“I am very happy about the invitation of the head coach Prosinečki and I hope that I will justify his trust and this invitation with good games. Not only I am happy, but my club is also proud that they have one “A” national team’s player in their ranks. They told me to play the best I could and to decently represent myself as well as the club I play in.”

This is your second invitation for the “A” national team after the last-year one, when you were on the bench against Gibraltar, which means that there will be no adjustment problems.

“I know a lot of players, with Ćivić I was in the U-21 team, with Darko (Todorović) the same and if he was not injured, he would be also here. I’m sure we will be well together and provide great games all together. Like all the players, I would also like to play, I will do my best at the training sessions, and the head coach is to decide whether I will get a certain playing time and whether I will have the opportunity to play at all. I’m not burdened with that, it’s up to me to work seriously and if I get a chance, it’s not just an empty word when I say that I will “leave my heart on the field”, which I really mean it.”

How important is the support of the fans?

“I know that many of our fans will be at the Ernst Happel Stadium and that the atmosphere will be like when we play at home. This will be an additional motive with the desire, which we all have, to present ourselves in the best possible way, to play the maximum focused and combat. In the end, if we all do our best, then no victory should be missed.”
