Great game of the Dragons for a point in Strasbourg

The “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina played tie tonight at the La Meinau Stadium in Strasbourg with France 1:1 in the qualifying match for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The first opportunity was waited until 27th minute, when the French striker Kylian Mbappe shot diagonally from the left side, but hit the post.

Miralem Pjanić tried in the 35th minute from a free kick from twenty meters, but Hugo Lloris defended his shot.

A minute later, the Dragons took the lead. The captain of our team, Edin Džeko, shot well from the edge of the penalty area and sent the ball into the net.

Antoine Griezmann equalized in the 40th minute after VAR confirmed that the ball crossed the goal line.

The home team was left with ten players on the pitch in the 51st minute, because Jules Kounde received a red card for a foul on Sead Kolašinac, after which our left winger had to be replaced due to injury.

After that, both teams had several attempts, but there were no more likely chances to score until 86th minute, when Smail Prevljak shot over the goal from a favourable position.

Pjanić had another good attempt from a free kick in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the bar again.
