Haris Hajradinović had a great opportunity at the beginning of the match, but Italy's goalkeeper and captain Gianluigi Donnarumma made a save.
“We played against the European champions and created many chances to score, but it just wasn't our day. We had good chances in both halves, but luck wasn't on our side. There's a positive story and a good atmosphere building in the team, and I hope it stays that way,” said Hajradinović.
Madžid Šošić entered the game in the 89th minute against Italy, making his official debut.
“The feeling is incredible and indescribable. Debuting for the national team is a dream come true, and I'm thankful to God for it. Italy is a great team, and we fought hard, which is what the fans expect from us. I think we fulfilled everything the coach asked of us; results will surely come in the future, and I hope we can make our fans happy in big tournaments as well,” emphasized Šošić.
