Džeko played 126 matches for the BH national team and scored 64 goals. He made his debut on 2nd June 2007 in the 3:2 victory against Turkey and scored his first goal already on his debut.
Playing for Wolfsburg and Manchester City, he won titles in Germany and England. From the many individual awards, we will single out the titles of the best scorer in Germany and Italy.
In November 2009, Džeko became the first UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
