Hasić began by saying he was overjoyed with his call-up to the national team and reflected on the next opponent, Poland, whose league he plays in: “Although they haven’t had particularly notable results over the past few years, we know they’re a very tough national team. They have several players from the domestic league, and we’ve already exchanged messages after they found out I’d been called up and congratulated me. I’d love to make my debut against them.”

Speaking about the group, which also includes Poland, Sweden and Romania alongside BiH, Hasić said: “It’s an extremely difficult group. I think the team that wants more will win, and I hope that’ll be us. Anyone can beat anyone. We’re looking forward to those matches, to facing those national teams, and hopefully being better than them.”

Hasić also commented on Edin Džeko’s farewell from the national team jersey: “There’s no need to explain who Edin Džeko is and how much joy he has brought to all of us. It’s difficult for us that he’s saying goodbye to this jersey, but I think he’s earned the right to decide for himself when enough is enough, and I wish him all the best in the future.”

Speaking about his call-up to the national team, Salko Hamzić said: “This call-up means everything to me. As a child, I dreamed of this, of becoming a national team player and representing my country. I’m so happy and can’t even describe how I feel.”

When asked what was decisive in choosing our country, Hamzić replied: “I was born here, and that attracted me the most. I know the people, I know what we’re like, I know we love football, and that’s it. There’s nothing more to say about other countries and national teams.”
