It’s nice to see the fans in the stands again

The “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated tonight by Denmark, but regardless of the result during the entire match, the fans constantly cheered on the Dragons. Dragons. At the end of the match, the players greeted the fans, and they applauded the BH national team players during leaving the pitch.

“After a long time, it was nice to see the audience in the stands again and the support we had today meant a lot to us. It is different to play in front of full stands, and I am especially glad that a large number of our fans were at the stadium. On this occasion, I want to thank them”, said Siniša Saničanin, who led the team tonight as captain:

“It was a great honour to bring the captain’s armband and I am overjoyed about that. On the other hand, it remains a pity for the defeat. However, there were some good segments in our game. We performed with a very young team and I don’t think there is anything to complain about the guys. We did our best. I hope we get better from match to match. Denmark is a quality team and they deserved to qualify for the European Championship.”

After the match, Anel Ahmedhodžić stated:

“I shivered when I saw our fans, it was great to play in front of the audience again. We all longed for such an ambience. I’m sorry that we conceded goals from the break, but we really tried and we could have scored a goal from the counter-attacks.”

Andrej Đokanović and Ajdin Nukić are delighted with their debut for the “A” team.

“I am overjoyed that I made my first appearance for the senior national team today. I think I did the job correctly for the first time, but, of course, it could be better and all this gives me the motivation to work even harder in the future. Thank to the fans for their extraordinary support during all 90 minutes of the match”, said Đokanović.

Nukić said:

“It is an indescribable feeling that an athlete has, when he makes his debut for the national team. At one point I couldn’t believe my dream had come true. I’m sorry I didn’t score, I had one situation from which I could enrol in the scorers. The support of the audience was amazing and we all missed this. Because of them, we are even more sorry that we did not achieve a better result.”
