Nations League: BiH Draws With the Netherlands

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national "A" football team drew 1:1 (0:1) against the Netherlands tonight at the Bilino Polje stadium in Zenica, in the final round of Group 3 in UEFA Nations League A.
 
 
The first chance of the match came early in the 7th minute when Stefan De Vrij struck from 16 meters, but debutant goalkeeper Martin Zlomislić made an excellent save, deflecting the Dutch captain's shot for a corner. However, the Netherlands took the lead in the 24th minute - Noa Lang delivered a cross from the left, and Brian Brobbey rose highest in the BiH penalty area and scored with a header. In the 41st minute, the visitors had two good chances, but Martin Zlomislić blocked shots from Joshua Zirkzee and Brian Brobbey.
 
At the start of the second half, Edin Džeko had a good chance after a run down the left, but the Dutch defense managed to block his shot. In the 58th minute, Dženis Burnić crossed into the box, but Džeko's header lacked power. Our team equalized in the 67th minute when Ermedin Demirović pounced on a rebound from Džeko's shot and headed the ball into the net.
 
In the other Group 3 match, played in Budapest, Hungary and Germany drew 1:1. In the final standings, Germany topped the group with 14 points, followed by the Netherlands with 9. Both teams advanced to the quarterfinals. Hungary, with 6 points, will enter a playoff to stay in Division A. Bosnia and Herzegovina, with two points, will return to Division B in the next Nations League edition.
