Official Press Conference Before Match With San Marino

Today, an official press conference was held at FFBiH headquarters in Sarajevo, ahead of tomorrow’s 15:00 match against San Marino in Zenica.

Head coach Sergej Barbarez and midfielder Benjamin Tahirović spoke to media.

Barbarez said: “First of all, I wish a happy Eid Mubarak to all celebrating today. This is only our second match since I took over where we're clear favourites. We’re used to playing stronger teams, so this is something new. We’ll dominate, 90% of the game will be in their half, but we must stay alert. The plan is to press high and settle the match early, scoring as much goals as possible. Martin Zlomislić and Stjepan Radeljić won’t be ready for tomorrow. It’s been intense, but everyone else is fit and ready.”

Tahirović added: “We don’t consider San Marino bad or slow. Our mindset is very serious. My September, October, and November call-ups helped my career most. The coach has supported and cheered me constantly. Training sessions have been intense, physical, and tough. We’re ready and motivated for this game. I didn’t play much at Ajax, so the consistency I’ve found at Brøndby helped a lot, especially mentally.”

The BiH vs San Marino match kicks off tomorrow, June 7 at 15:00 in Zenica. All tickets are sold out, and fans are urged to arrive early to avoid congestion.
