Official Training Held Ahead of San Marino

Our national team held its official training session today at FK Sarajevo’s training center in Butmir ahead of tomorrow’s World Cup qualifier against San Marino.

Goalkeeper Vedad Muftić had his first session with the team after receiving a call-up from coach Sergej Barbarez last night.

Bosnia and Herzegovina and San Marino have met twice before, both during the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The first match was played on June 4 2005 in Serravalle, where BiH won 3:1. Hasan Salihamidžić scored in the 17' and 39', and Sergej Barbarez added one in the 75'. Andy Selva scored the only goal for San Marino in the 40'.

The rematch took place on October 9 2005 at Bilino Polje, where BiH won 3:0 with goals from Elvir Bolić in the 48', 75', and 85'.
