Petev and Džeko agree before the match with Ukraine: Unity is the main trump card

The official press conference of the “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held at the Lviv Arena tonight ahead the match with Ukraine.

The head coach Ivaylo Petev and the captain Edin Džeko answered the questions of the journalists.

Head coach Petev said, among other things:

“We have a larger number of players available compared to Kazakhstan, which gives us one breadth. It is important that we play well tomorrow as a team and I hope we will win 3 points. As for the game, it can always get better. I am glad, because we have harmony in the team and that everyone is fighting for everyone. Of course, there are also mistakes that we have to correct, but we are moving forward and we are better from match to match. We are not calculating; we are focused on tomorrow’s match and we will do our best to win.”

Džeko stated:

“After the victory in Kazakhstan, our chances are higher and we opened the way to the second place in the group. Still, the last three matches where we play with direct competitors, Ukraine and Finland, are crucial. However, tomorrow’s match is the most important so far.”

When asked what is the main trump card of the BH team before tomorrow’s match, the captain replied:

“Togetherness is our main asset. We are missing a lot of important players. However, we showed in Kazakhstan, where it was not easy to play, that we were a good team. I think that togetherness is our main trump card before tomorrow’s match. If we are there for each other like in the last match, then we have a chance to make a good result.”
