“The match was difficult, but we expected that. I’m not happy with the first 20-25 minutes. We conceded a goal easily and that is a minus for us tonight. Later we made a lot of opportunities which was not easy against a strong team like Ukraine. Congratulations guys, we played well both today and against Kazakhstan. Although we were missing a few players, we were at level. The match was opened, and the opponent had his chances. All in all, we can be satisfied”, said Petev.
When asked who was the favourite for second place in the group, the head coach answered:
“We, Finland and Ukraine will fight for the second place until the last round, as we said that before. Everything is in our hands and we will all do our best to achieve that goal.”
