After the match, Siniša Saničanin stated:

“It was difficult to play against such a good team and we did not do well in the first half. In the second half, we consolidated our ranks and played better. We scored a goal and created a few more chances. It remains a pity that we received goals too easily in the first half and it was difficult to make up for that delay later. For us younger players, this match will mean a lot and I hope that we will learn lessons from this and create a team for the future.”

Scorer of the only goal for the BH team, Smail Prevljak, said:

“It’s a pity we lost the match. I’m glad I scored a goal, but it didn’t bring us much in the end. However, in the second half, we played well and it is a pity that we did not make a better result. We have to do our best against Italy, so we will see what will happen.”

Darko Todorović thinks that there was no aggression in the first 45 minutes:

“This was a very difficult match for us. The Netherlands is a great team. We made mistakes in the first half and we allowed the opponent to build the game too much. We should have been more aggressive, but in the second half, we improved that segment of the game. They didn’t have any solutions either and we also lacked that in the first half.”

Amer Gojak regrets missed opportunities:

“We are disappointed with the result. We need to forget this match as soon as possible and turn to the match with Italy. At some moments, we played well, but we failed to use our opportunities. Our opponent used theirs and they deservedly won.”

Debutant Almedin Ziljkić said:

“I am happy that I made my debut at the end of the game. The team played a good second half and it was a pity that we did not use some more chances. After the early goal, everything went in favour of the Netherlands. I’m glad for the debut, but I’m sorry we didn’t get a better result.”
