Tonight’s captain Ajdin Nukić stated:
“First of all, I would like to thank the head coach and the technical staff for giving me the honour and confidence to lead the team in this match as captain. It’s more than a dream for me. We played a pretty good match and did our best. The red card disturbed us, but the boys gave their best and it is a pity that we conceded a goal in the end. It’s football, but I think we showed ourselves in a good light and now we could see that our Premier League also has quality.”
Hrvoje Barišić stated:
“We played very well, and we had some chances. They are a more well-coordinated team, we got together for the first time. I think we played well and it is a pity that we conceded that goal. We can get a lot of good things out of this match and this is a positive experience for us.”
Goalkeeper Nikola Ćetković also commented on the match:
“This is something we athletes live for and I am glad that I made my debut for the “A” team. I can also be satisfied with my performance; I had several good defences. Unfortunately, we lost in the end but I think we did not disappointed. We played well away from home and we should not be sad about the goal in the end.”
