On occasion of the gathering, the representatives of the media were addressed by the head coach Robert Prosinečki:
“Currently, we are thinking only about Finland, this is at the moment the most important match for us. We’ll think about Italy later. We have a better team than Finland and we should not be afraid of them or any other national team. I believe in this team and I am pleased that things have been going since I became a head coach. Players always provide the maximum, and then the results come too. It will be the same against Finland.”
Prosinečki also commented on the previous match of the national team:
“There were good and bad things against Greece. In the first half, we were excellent, but in the second we fell. Certainly, there will be some changes in relation to that match and we will try to improve some things. We have seven days to do the analysis and prepare for the match with Finland.”
Robert Prosinečki appreciates the national team of Finland:
“Every match is important to us and we maximally enter each one. There is a lot of points in the game and the match in Finland can determine a further course of qualifications. With victory, we could begin to think about serious things. They are a good team whose players play in high quality leagues. They are fighting, they are well on the ground and they make pressure. It will not be easy, but we will do our best to win.”
Prosinečki added that Edin Džeko will come to the gathering tomorrow, and Miralem Pjanić will join the team on 3rd June.
The national team players will have their first training session at the TC of FK Sarajevo in Butmir today at 18:00 h.
