Sergej Barbarez Announces Roster for San Marino and Austria

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national "A" football team continues its 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign in September with matches against San Marino and Austria.

The Dragons will travel to San Marino on September 6, and three days later host Austria in Zenica.

Head coach Sergej Barbarez has called up 25 players for this gathering. The full list is available HERE.

“We’re happy to be together again, it’s a huge honor for all of us to be part of the national team. We’ve called up 25 players, however this time Ermin Bičakčić and Dario Šarić aren’t on the list because they’re currently without clubs. They’re in talks with potential new teams and I believe they’ll sort that out soon. Of course, we still can’t count on Sead Kolašinac due to injury. We’ve decided to include two young players who are getting their first call-up to the senior team. It’s important they feel the atmosphere and understand what it means to be part of the national team, and naturally, it’s up to them to show what they can do,” said the coach.

Barbarez will hold a press conference ahead of the gathering on Friday, August 29 at 10:30 at the FFBiH headquarters in Sarajevo.
