Sergej Barbarez Selects Players for Cyprus and Malta

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national "A" football team will play a World Cup qualifier against Cyprus in October, along with a friendly against Malta.

The team will visit Cyprus in Larnaca on October 9, while the match against Malta is scheduled for October 12 in Ta' Qali. Head coach Sergej Barbarez has issued 25 call-ups and 3 standby calls for these evens.

On announcing the roster, Barbarez said: "We’re approaching this gathering with great optimism, and I believe we’ll continue our journey the way we all hope—fighting together, with a clear goal ahead. We want to show progress and real team spirit through these two matches. Points from Cyprus would mean a lot for the rest of the qualifiers, but we won’t overlook the Malta match either, which is important for preparing the team for future challenges. Three players are returning to the national team: Dennis Hadžikadunić, Haris Tabaković, and Luka Menalo. I’m confident we’ll all give our maximum and take new steps together toward achieving our goals."

Sergej Barbarez will hold a press conference on Monday, October 6 at 11:00 at FFBiH headquarters in Sarajevo.
