Thank You Mire!

Long-time BiH national "A" football team member, Miralem Pjanić, has decided to retire from international football and bid farewell to the jersey with the national emblem.

The popular Mire made his debut for the national team on August 20th 2008, in a friendly match against Bulgaria at the "Bilino Polje" stadium in Zenica. Almost 16 years later, he played his final match in the Euro 2024 playoffs against Ukraine on the same stadium. Pjanić played a total of 115 matches for the national team and scored 18 goals.

Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina expresses great gratitude to Miralem Pjanić for everything he has done during his international career. His dedication, talent, and love for the homeland made him one of the key players of our national team, a role model for many young players and an inspiration to all fans of Bosnia and Herzegovina. His contributions on the field through incredible free kicks and precise assists brought joy to our hearts and victories to our team. Pjanić's contribution to the placement at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil is also something for which he'll be remembered by all fans of the BiH team.

FFBiH wishes all the best to this great player who will surely always remain a friend of BH football.

Thank you Miralem, and good luck!
