The head coach and the captain expect a victory

The official press conference of the “A” the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the eve of the match with Kazakhstan was held tonight at the Astana Arena in Nur Sultan.

Media representatives were addressed by head coach Ivaylo Petev and captain Edin Džeko.

Kazakh journalists were interested in whether the artificial turf was an advantage for the home team, to which the head coach replied:

“We know that most of the national team players of Kazakhstan from the domestic championship play on the pitch with artificial turf. We did the training session yesterday; we will do it tonight and it doesn’t matter to us. We are ready and we are going to win.”

Petev also answered the question about not issuing visas for our players:

“The visa case is a thing of the past for us. It is important that those who are here are ready. I believe in all of them and I think we can achieve a favourable result.”

Petev also added:

“It all depends on our approach. I hope that tomorrow we will not allow the opponent many opportunities. The players and I can’t wait for the match. Kazakhstan is a team that does not give up and they go aggressively on every ball, so it will not be easy. Tomorrow we have to be even better than in Zenica. We have to be focused throughout the match to fulfil our goal, and that is victory.”

Edin Džeko stated:

“In Zenica, we saw that Kazakhstan is an awkward national team, and we saw that through their other results. It is a team that must not be underestimated and tactically they stand very well. It is not easy to break through that zone, but in the previous match we created a lot of opportunities. They showed that they were not giving up until the end, but we must be more efficient this time.”
