Winger Milan Savić expects to win at the opening of qualifications for EURO 2023:
“I am very happy that we gathered in Zenica. Here are two generations of players who played in the U-17 national team at the European Championships. We have great potential and we are serious about the obligations that lie ahead. We all know each other from before and we don’t need much time to get into the rhythm. The first match is always very important and the head coach will show us what kind of opponent it is, so that we can enter the match as ready as possible. I hope for a good result and winning three points.”
Left back Eldar Šehić is also optimistic ahead of the match with Montenegro:
“We started working, but today we will only be in the complete line-up. It is certain that the older players, who were there in the previous qualifiers, will form the core of the team. Quality also exists in the younger ones who also have quality. We all proudly wear the coat of arms of the national team. I am sure we will do our best and there will be no problems. I expect the most serious approach in the first match, because we are not interested in anything but victory.”
The team of Slobodan Starčević will prepare in Zenica until 27th March, when they travel to Podgorica.
