We need to be more serious and responsible against Denmark

Two days after the match with Montenegro, the head coach of the BH “A” national team, Ivaylo Petev, says that the impressions have subsided and that they have analysed in detail the game of our team and each individual.

“It would be much easier if we won or showed more on the pitch. However, the guys tried hard and wanted to show themselves in the best light. A large number of players got the opportunity, some took it and some did not. I wouldn’t single anyone out in particular, I’ve talked to the players and they know where they went wrong and what they have to fix. It bothers me that we easily gave Montenegro chances, that there was no more pressure and enough concentration to score from the two hundred percent chances we created in the first half. In the end, the result is realistic, but we must be more concrete against Denmark, more serious, show more strength and character.”

Health condition?

“The players are rested, healthy and, apart from Šehić, ready for today’s training session. Šehić has knee problems, he needs a little rest and we will see how ready he will be for Denmark. Saničanin is returning, which is good, but there will be no Krunić, whom I released due to urgent private obligations.”

Rehearsal against Denmark?

“That is a national team that is among the top five in Europe, which means that the approach will be different in this match. For them, this is a dress rehearsal for the EURO, while we have to show our will and engage to the maximum from the first to the 90th minute. We have been together for 7-8 days now so we met and created a good atmosphere. I expect a better game and more responsible behaviour on the pitch. The atmosphere with the spectators at the stadium will certainly be beautiful, we just have to play and enjoy.”
