Before tonight’s training session, head coach Ivaylo Petev and national team player Muhamed Bešić addressed the media in the Training Centre.

The head coach spoke about the health conditions:

“After the injuries of Menal and Krunić, we invited Kenan Kodro and Dario Šarić. Gazibegović suffered an adductor injury in the last match and we will not be able to count on him. We are waiting for the findings of Anel Ahmedhodžić, he is also questionable. There will be no additional invitations. We will prepare and try to do a good job.”

Petev also added:

“We have things in our hands and we will do everything we need to stay first in the group. I know it will not be easy, but I trust these guys. We have an opportunity to continue with the good games from June and expect good results. Every team wants to win and we’ll see how things will develop.”

When asked if the team is under pressure, Ivaylo Petev answered:

“Every match brings pressure and we are used to it. We have to get over it, do our best and win. It is important to psychologically prepare the team for each match. We have players who play at a high level, they know what to do and I believe we will be ready. It would be very important to finish the Nations League without defeat, and we subordinated everything to that goal.”

Muhamed Bešić stated:

“We have done a good job so far; we have no defeats. We have two more matches left and I hope we will continue with good results. Montenegro has good players; they are a quality team. However, if we do everything tactically in the best way and if we listen to the head coach’s instructions, I believe we will show that we are a better team. It’s all up to us, we’re playing at home. We will do our best and we believe in success.”

The players will do a training session today.
