Eldar Ćivić, a national team player, shared his impressions and thoughts:
“We are all in the mood and so far, everything is fine. I think we wished to play, so we have two good matches ahead of us and I hope for a positive result. Maybe, it is better that these matches are before the play-offs, because we have a little more time to play and adjust to the new head coach and the technical staff. I think that we should go to Italy not only to play a good match, but also to take some points.
We were close to that last year in Turin, where we showed in the first half that we could beat them. We didn’t last until the end and we lost unhappily. However, regardless of the fact that this is a great team that likes to play, they also make mistakes that we can punish.
We will all miss the fans. We in Hungary play in front of an audience, so it will be a little weird to play without them. Our fans are special, but I know that we will fight and play as if they were in the stands.”
